Job Description:
- The HR Specialist supports and enhances the organization's HR initiatives by driving results and contributing to team/unit efforts by accomplishing established goals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers new hire orientation and other training programs as needed.
- Understands and explains company policies, programs, benefits, and related information.
- Assists with unit-specific program design, development, and implementation; and assists with implementation of any enterprise-wide programs, as needed.
- Maintain employee personnel files, bulletin boards, recruiting tracker, exit interview tracker, and attendance system.
- Ensures that weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
- 2 years college or equivalent is preferred
Work Experience:
- Prior work experience with at least 2-4 years of experience in a human resources-related role
- Experience working in an airline, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, or food service environment is highly desirable
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

Work Environment / Requirements of the Job:
- Regularly, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts
- In a normal production kitchen facility, there may be physical discomfort due to temperature and noise
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed

Job Description:
- Handles tactical aspects of Human Resources processes such as maintaining employee data, tracking and extracting data, preparing reports, scheduling and other such activities.
- This is a specialized administrative role in the Human Resources functional area.
Duties:
- Performs a variety of tactical tasks to support Human Resources such as maintaining employee records, tracking and extracting data, scheduling and other such activities.
- Maintains employee information as a liaison between employees and Deere Direct in addition to information maintained at unit.
- Assists in routine staffing activities such as screening resumes, phone screens, scheduling of various phases of hiring process including testing and interviews, tracking relevant data, and other such staffing activities.
- Coordinates scheduling of training classes, invitations to attendees, tracking and reporting of training hours and required courses, and other such training related activities.
- Assists employees with daily issues such as answering general questions and helping with forms and processes.
- Maintains confidential data and can distinguish when and to whom it can be released.
- Prepares management reports.
- Utilizes Human Resource tools such as SAP and Business Objects to view and extract data used to respond to requests for information.
Your Responsibilities:
- As an Employee Experience Representative for Client’s Human Resources Operations Center, Ask HR, in Moline, IL, you will provide quality and comprehensive support to employees and Unit HR on key HR processes and transactions. In addition, you will:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to customers by researching, resolving, and responding to inquiries in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner
- Administer HR processes such as interview scheduling, pre-employment, onboarding new hires, internal transfer activities, company organizational management, employee record maintenance
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, propose solutions and ideas to find more efficient ways to deliver HR support to employees
- Ensure Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded
- Collaborate with Tier 2 of HROC on process improvements and escalation resolution
