Overview:
Provides analytical support to the development and administration of the Credit Union’s compensation plan to optimize hiring and maximize employee retention.
Responsibilities:
  • Participates in benchmarking surveys, and analyzes the results to align with market data and determine competitive positioning of the organizations compensation program.
  • Makes recommendations regarding the design of the organization’s compensation structure, salary grades and ranges, merit increases, and incentive plans based on current trends and other market indicators.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition and management to identify job duties for new positions, write job descriptions, and ensure they are priced and graded appropriately.
  • Maintains the Credit Union’s inventory of job descriptions.
  • Analyzes internal pay increases practices to appropriately pace progression, and maintain pay equity.
  • Supports day-to-day compensation activities including approval of pay increases, preparing ad-hoc job analysis as needed, and distribution of compensation statements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.
  • 5 or more years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, including experience in compensation analysis and HR administration.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
  • Excellent math skills and data analysis skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills, including excel. Experience with UltiPro, Cognos Analytics, and PayFactos desired.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized. Able to analyze and resolve difficult problems and situations.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures pertinent to the job.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of all Credit Union computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators. Able to influence others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
  • Works independently with general supervision.
