We are currently seeking a HR/Payroll Coordinator with demonstrated experience as a solid Payroll and HR professional to join our team. In this position the candidate will have the opportunity to be lead on various HR projects. The ideal candidate will proactively partner with managers and teammates to ensure timely and accurate completion of various client payrolls while also providing tier 1 level coaching on HR-related issues. Additionally, s/he must be positive, enthusiastic and ready to engage in our company culture. NO PHONE CALLS ACCEPTED.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with projects related to HR and Payroll. Handle payroll processing for difference clients on weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly schedules.
- Partner with various clients’ management team to interpret and administer various HR policies and procedures
- Communicate and implement pro-active employee strategies pertaining to employee relations. Focuses on helping our clients create a positive employee relations environment and culture
- Perform new client and new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Performs general benefits administration including COBRA and 401K, change reporting and communicating benefits information as needed
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency within the organization.
- Completing Verifications of Employment
- Process Garnishments and Child Support orders and payments electronically
- Assisting managers and employees with payroll and HR questions.
- Handling payroll Entry in payroll systems
- Assisting with Open Enrollment
- Ability to multi-task with limited resources and manage multiple competing priorities
- Excellent administrative and customer service skills
- Works with extremely sensitive and confidential information and uses discretion
- Strong PC, writing, analytical and HRIS skills
- Ability to manage social media account
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- Associates's degree in HR or a related field and 3+ years of related experience at the generalist level preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of experience in a full-time Human Resources role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, HRIS and various payroll systems
