Job Title: HR Support Specialist

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Head of Human Resources

Schedule: Mon – Fri 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Job Summary
The Human Resources Support Specialist works independently with minimal supervision to complete a variety of assigned tasks and projects across HR areas including benefits, LOA administration, and payroll. The HR Support Specialist is a self-motivated individual with a passion for the employee experience. Works in a community setting with a focus on delivering high touch experiences.

Essential Responsibilities

· Supports the Human Resources department with overflow tasks and other general support/projects as needed. (e.g., assists with payroll and benefits processing, VOEs, and FMLA administration)

· Assists with the standardization of internal HR procedures. Gathers required information to create and document SOP’s, job descriptions, and other HR documentation

· Develops and tracks data and builds reports using metrics extracted from UltiPro ATS or manually created

· Provides input and assists with the creation and rollout of new hire orientation and onboarding programs as well as other new HR initiatives

· Cross-train to serve as a potential interim fill-in for HR team members

Skill Requirements

· Intimate knowledge of HRIS systems

· Strong organization aptitude and attention to detail. Uses excellent logic and problem-solving to perform mathematical calculations with skill and accuracy

· Ability and interest to cross-train across HR functions

· Independent thinker that finds opportunity in ambiguity

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills

· Previous HR experience in a K-12 education setting

· HR certification

· Working knowledge of UKG/UltiPro (ATS)

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
