Job description
As a HR Manager, you will be part of People Operations Partners across multiple departments supporting the Midwest and East sub-regions. You manage, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers to ensure our human resource strategy is implemented, and according to established guidelines and budgets. You will report to Regional People Operations Leader and will be seated at the Springdale, PA Plant. Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Leads HR team with coaching/mentoring, engagement, leadership, and skill development. Works closely with local leaders providing strategic direction, solutions, and tools promoting workforce engagement, DE&I, and performance. Drives effective and efficiently resolution of employee issues/concerns by using consistent processes throughout region.
- Employee Relation: Proactively drives relevant solutions and outreach to prevent workplace issues/concerns: employee awareness and education of PPG policies; facilitate employee engagement projects.
- Labor Relations: Champion a positive labor climate and relations with Union leadership. Execute on network-wide collective bargaining strategy that optimally achieves strategic objectives; lead preparation and support of local negotiations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR related field, Master's degree is preferred.
- 8+ years HR experience with growing responsibility, with at least 4+ years of employee and labor relations experience within a manufacturing environment, including Union knowledge.
