We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter, values-focused HR professional with a strong background in staffing and employee relations to join our team. A successful candidate will be familiar with all facets of the HR department, and will be capable of working well within a team. Our Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for both administrative tasks and interfacing with all departments to ensure that our employees have the support they need to excel at their jobs.

****This is a 6-month contract with possibility of converting to permanent position.****

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associate's degree in human resources, business administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven 3+ years of experience in human resources and staffing or recruiting background.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of staffing policies, trends and strategies, and best practices.
  • Ability to efficiently manage people and resources.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team or individually as and when required.
  • Proficiency with standard office and presentation software and HRIS platforms
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies the company’s staffing needs and develops sustainable strategies to fulfill them.
  • Coordinate with production leaders and staffing agencies to fill vacancies in a timely manner with quality focused.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with staffing agencies and stakeholders.
  • Identify hard to fill positions and take proactive actions.
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, training, and onboarding new employees.
  • Coordinate job fairs, brand promoting, and community outreach activities.
  • Provide administrative support in the areas of employee relations and learning and development.
  • Monitor daily attendance including absence line system.
  • Work with payroll to ensure correct employee compensation and remuneration.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.
  • Develop and submit reports regarding various staffing tasks.
  • Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Assist employer of choice initiatives such as engagement activities and retention programs.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
