A well-known client in Downtown Columbia, SC is looking to add a Human Resources Assistant to their growing team team. The ideal candidate would be someone personable, detail oriented and proficient with reporting.
Responsibilities Include:
- Works under direct supervision of the Human Resources Manager performing human resources generalist and administrative duties
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes HR data, metrics, and statistics, and applies this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and other workforce management needs
- Assists in managing the HR front desk, composing letters, mail merge, and other document processing functions
- Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, equal opportunity employment, training and development, worker’s compensation, absenteeism, and attrition rates
- Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership
- Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics
- Maintains HR data tools, reporting, and dashboards
- Conducts human resources related research
- Responsible for conducting background checks, reference checks, E-Verify, and Drug/Alcohol testing for selected candidates and employees
- Schedules interviews
- Serves as back-up in administering benefits, time and leave, and payroll functions
- Responsible for accurate reporting of internship and job shadowing
- Helps organize training and development initiatives
- Prepares paperwork, schedules, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
- Prepares purchase requisitions invoices, reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheets, database, or presentation software
- Responsible for coordinating all office purchases and procurement
- Assists with coordination of programs relating to employee suggestions, awards, service certificates and agency training procedures
- Assist with the wellness program by scheduling workplace health screenings and other wellness events throughout the year in coordination with the HR Coordinator
Preferred Qualifications:
- An Associate’s degree and experience with analyzing data in Excel and other software programs.
- Experience with statistical analysis and converting collected data into data visualizations.
- A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
- $20 hourly
