We have an exciting opportunity for a
Human Resources/Benefits Specialist to join our team and serve our team of associates. The position will be responsible for supporting associates and collaborating with team members on onboarding, benefits administration, internal communications, safety program administration, recordkeeping, and reporting.
We are looking for a HR professional to serve as an ambassador of our strong, collaborative culture and support a team of associates at 19 locations nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main resource for benefit plans including plan designs, vendor agreements, department processes, and employee engagement
- Create engaging communications and activities in increase participation and awareness of benefit features
- Consult with associates about eligibility, inquiries about benefit claims, and other benefit details
- Prepare onboarding for new hires including prescreening, materials, and new hire orientation
- Draft company-wide announcements, benefit guides, and other internal communications
- Revise job descriptions and other documentation
- Coordinate worker's compensation claims, safety recordkeeping, and file required reports. Track and maintain safety programs
- Maintain employee records and administer updates as needed
- Reconcile and process monthly vendor invoices
- Remain current with changes in best practices and regulations applicable to the role
- Represent the company’s mission and values
- Support a strong and collaborative work environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of professional-level human resources experience
- Advanced computer proficiency including MS Word, MS Excel, and ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS software.
- The aptitude to research and analyze various types of data for specific information and compile reports
- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration with the ability to objectively mentor others and manage through complex or confidential situations
- Must be able to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with our company values, policies, procedures, and compliance
- Detail oriented and able to organize and prioritize work well
