Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Reports to: Director of Human Resources

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will serve as a key member of the HR organization.
This role will be responsible for performing HR duties and working with senior HR management in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, HRIS system management, onboarding, offboarding & policy implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s HR strategy particularly as it relates to employee engagement, retention, and succession planning.
- Assist with creating learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Partners with HR Director on benefits and leave administration
- Partners with internal stakeholders and candidates to facilitate a smooth onboarding process
- Conducts exit interviews and manages offboarding process
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Full knowledge of HRIS system; responsible for maintaining accurate data, compiling reports, understanding payroll processing, and ensuring full utilization of system
- Identify the developmental needs of others; coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
- Partner with HR team to create and revise job descriptions
- Maintains and revises the company’s policies under the direction of the HR Director
- Assist with recruiting process as needed
- Assist with HR priorities & special projects that span the HR realm
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel,
- Proficient user for a HRIS (Paycom, ADP experience beneficial)
- Demonstrated ability to operate in an environment with constant change
- Leverages strong business acumen and analytic capability to integrate HR and business strategies
- Ability to apply and create “best practice” solutions
- Demonstrated ability to take initiate and have a bias for thoughtful action
- Skilled at building credibility and effective relationships and is a strong collaborator
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
