Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will work directly with the Hospital Administrator and will be responsible for contributing information by identifying, researching and performing analysis in order to make recommendations ensuring concepts are consistent with companies’ mission and core values. They will oversee recruitment, initial interviewing, onboarding and training for new staff. They will also be in charge for overseeing call off’s, PTO requests, employee attendance, benefits, leaves of absence, and worker’s compensation. They will act as a resource for employees and management to ensure grievances are handled in a consistent manner.

SOME JOB DUTIES INCLUDE

• Oversees employee recruitment
• Assure compliance with all regulatory platforms
• Maintains personnel records, information of a confidential or sensitive nature, and prepares personnel reports
• Conducts new employee orientation and training, and coordinates existing employee training programs.
• Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing
• Advises managers and employees on sensitive labor and employee relations matters, including grievance and arbitration procedures, performance issues and disciplinary actions

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Four-year college degree is desirable but not required. Prefer an emphasis in HR.
• Extensive experience in Human resources field may be considered in lieu of a degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 3-8 years prior human resources, employee training and development required.
• Prior experience in a management role helpful.
• Prior experience in veterinary medicine helpful.
• Public speaking experience helpful

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to initiate and monitor several simultaneous projects
• Flexible in work scheduling for event schedules
• Handle stress and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work requires lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 35 lbs; requires sitting and standing for extended periods or time.
• Working conditions: May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises animal urine and feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $47,740.00 per year
