I&E Technician II:
Description: The Plant I&E Technician is responsible for performing corrective & preventative maintenance on I&E systems such as analytical equipment, measurement, controls, advanced hardware (computers, telemetry, communications, etc.), logic networks and other related equipment associated with natural gas processing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete all assigned computer based trainings
- Understand and read P&ID’s, control panel and junction box diagrams, process flow diagrams and electrical one-lines.
- Have a solid understanding and applications experience with Allen-Bradley PLC that includes programming languages specifically ladder logic, downloading and uploading programs, online edits and troubleshooting logic.
- Create HMI graphics.
- Evaluate, troubleshoot and correct control system wiring for transmitters, switch devices, and PLC output commands to control devices.
- Configure and troubleshoot instrumentation to include the following: pressure, temperature, and level instruments.
- Configure and troubleshoot Coriolis, Ultrasonic, and Orifice meters.
- Configure and troubleshoot VFD’s.
- Understand configuration and communication of Flow Computers and RTU’s.
- Knowledge of EtherNet I/P, Fiber and Serial Radio installation and configuration.
- Have a good knowledge of electrical theory and controls for low and medium voltage systems. This will include working on 120 VAC, 480 VAC, and 4160 VAC electrical systems.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrate safe work practices (i.e. Safe driving record, compliance with all safety policies/procedures, etc.).
- Manage successful safety meetings while maintaining a 100% attendance
- Maintains a professional attitude on the job.
- Maintains exemplary record of on-call response
- Successfully and safely complete daily work tasks and responsibilities with little to no supervision
- Participates and successfully completes training programs, risk management reviews, and safety meetings.
- 3-7 years’ experience as an I&E Technician, including but not limited to:
- Experience with Allen-Bradly PLC’s.
- Maintenance and repair of Control Valves, Pressure, Temperature, and level devices.
- Maintenance and repair of 120 VAC, 480 VAC, and 4160 VAC electrical systems
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs, and the ability to work shifts for the plant or field conditions.
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must pass comprehensive background and drug test and respiratory fit test (Physician approved)
Skills:
- Demonstrate ability to successfully troubleshoot Instrumentation, Electrical, Measurement and Control problems, develop plan for and demonstrate ability to rectify problem
- Knowledge of I&E processes and procedures
- Ability to develop and maintains immaculate records
- Manages and prioritize tasks, and adjust workload accordingly
- Satisfactory written & verbal communication skills, (internal & external-all levels within an organization).
