The
Supervisor, Medical Imaging will work
Full Time, Days and provides immediate supervision to all radiology technical personnel assigned.
- The Supervisor, Medical Imaging works closely with PACS Administrator and Business Operations Supervisor to ensure connectivity and compliance for image availability record reporting and charge processing needs.
- The Supervisor, Medical Imaging coordinates preventative maintenance schedules for imaging and computer equipment in conjunction with vendor services personnel. Notifies same and coordinates resolution in the event of equipment failure.
- The Supervisor, Medical Imaging ensures that all applicable Hospital standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., NYSDOH) and quality standards (e.g., TJC, DNV or any governing body) are met.
- The Supervisor, Medical Imaging works with local leadership to ensures communication and coordination of staff of previous and next shifts regarding equipment problems, waiting patients and other like information.
- The Supervisor, Medical Imaging tracks and maintains expense control as budgeted. Report any variances to the manager and Network Business Operations Supervisor.

This mandate requires COVID-19 vaccinations for personnel working for or on behalf of our hospitals and nursing homes. Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiology or healthcare related field is preferred.
- Associates degree or satisfactory completion of an AMA approved radiology training program with an additional 2 years in a leadership role in the imaging field may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of five years experience.
- Experience to include 3 years supervisory experience.
Licensure/Certificates:
- NYS Licensure as Radiology Tech required.
- AART (R) required.
- AART (M) preferred.
Skills:
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, radiation physics and radiographic chemistry.
- Knowledge of radiographic equipment for assigned modalities.
- Knowledge of Universal Protocol and Universal Precautions.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must successfully complete aged based competencies.
- Must be able to provide and demonstrate compassionate patient care.
- Must possess basic knowledge of MS Office applications.
Physical Requirements:
- Work may require ability to lift patients from stretchers and wheelchairs to exam tables with assistance.
- Intermittent use of computers that may require long periods of staring at a computer monitor.
