Job description
· First and foremost, you must be a registered employee with the state of Nevada Licensing Board (PILB). It is your responsibility to make sure your unarmed or armed card is always current and updated. If you let your card expire you will immediately be removed from any scheduled shift(s). Once card is up to date you need to update the office staff. You may be reinstated as an employee, but no pervious post or position will be on hold for your return. · Patrol client premises to observe and report criminal activity, public nuisances, violations of property rules or threat to property and tenants.
· Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
· Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
· Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
· Always call 911 in cases of emergency, then immediately call Reliance Security dispatch, and notify them the nature of the emergency. If unsure if incident you are dealing with is an “911 emergency”, call dispatch and/or a field supervisor. If unable to reach dispatch or a field supervisor call 911 and give them all pertinent details.
· Must be visible and circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees in an intend to preserve order and protect property.
· Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information to those in need during business and non-business hours.
· Advise persons of rule infractions or violations and deter or trespass violators from premises when necessary.
· Identifying objects, people, and events; Its shape, size, height, color, race, sex, clothing, body piercing and tattoos, noise.
· Monitoring and reporting information from your surroundings for your safety. Be observant and aware of what is happening around you.
· Observing, receiving, and obtaining information from all relevant sources and documenting what you observed or what was told to you. Always remember the who, what, where, and when, when recording information.
· Entering, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form by means of a smartphone, tablet, or computers.
· Communicating and providing information to supervisors, co-workers, subordinates and first responders by telephone, e-mail, or in person.
· Operate detecting devices to screen ingress and egress individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles and contraband.
· Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflict, or otherwise negotiating with others and making sure all pertinent information is documented.
· Execute client’s performance expectations, when dealing directly with the public. This includes customers in the building and stores, and receiving clients or guests, at concerts, special events and conventions.
· Performing physical activities that require considerable use of legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and handling of materials. Ability to stand and or walk for an 8 to 10-hour shift. Some cases may involve the physical restraint of an individual. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or process comply with law, company regulations and standards.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.50 per hour
