Imperial Pools Manufacturing - First Shift Supervisor
Job description
The Vinyl Works (division of Imperial Pools) is actively looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to be responsible for managing a diverse manufacturing team and their performance. Some of the specific duties include hiring, training, motivating, terminating, completing performance evaluations; Participation in departmental strategy development, through plant operations feedback to management; ensuring successful implementation of various management decisions; handle technical and administrative issues that arise; implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing principles; ensuring throughput and quality standards are maintained; perform any special tasks required; reports to Division General Manager. A minimum of three years Manufacturing Supervision is preferred. Must have exceptional written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 to include, Word, and Excel. Exceptional motivational and people skills are required.
Other responsibilities:
1) Must have strong leadership, problem-solving and time management skills.
2) Complete a safety overview of equipment with all new employees
3) Oversee entire Vinyl Works operations
4) Ensure schedule adherence: Promote productivity: by following up on scheduled work: Planned daily production; equipment daily throughput requirements and quality
5) Report daily productivity of each operation to GM, with action plan for improvement as required
6) Administer training program, ensuring required skills are available to meet or exceed productivity reequipments to include: Quality, Cost, and Quantity.
7) Track and manage attendance and administer disciplinary action as outlined by corporate policy
8) Know and administer corporate policies, without exception
9) Manage employee time; ensure accurate and complete as required by payroll
10) Prepare all required reports and distribute as required.
11) Maintain a 5S level work environment
12) Ensure all safety protocols are maintained and adhered to at all times
13) Maintain all equipment in good to exceptional working condition
14) Ensure operations team has all of the required equipment needed to complete their assigned tasks
15) Must be skilled in managing and resolving employee grievances
16) Work with Materials Manager to project staffing requirements based on demand schedule.
17) Complete and task as directed by division General Manager
Experience:
1) Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supervising MFG
2) Lean manufacturing training / experience preferred
Education:
1) Associates degree in business a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
