In-Flight Catering Driver (FT)
Job description
- Delivers catering supplies to designated packing stations within the facility and loading the vehicles for delivery.
- Transporting airline food and equipment from kitchen to aircraft on airport ramp.
- Transporting airline equipment and trash from aircraft to kitchen on campus.
- Review shipments prior to leaving kitchen and provide information on discrepancies.
- Combine all components for assigned meal flights using checklists.
- Complete appropriate HACCP paperwork.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area and vehicle.
- Responsible for interacting with FA when reviewing and loading information.
- Communicate with the flight crew, maintain good relations with the customer.
- Work in a safe manner to prevent accidents to self and coworkers.
- Comply with all HACCP/GMP and sanitation for proper food handling policies and procedures.
- Comply with Ramp Safety policies and procedures.
- Clean airline racks, trays and other equipment, prepare for next flight.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- The position requires a good working knowledge of employee and food safety practices, policies and procedures in accordance to federal and state regulations.
- Requires well-developed knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation to prepare professional correspondence.
- Must be knowledgeable in the hazard analysis and critical control point [HACCP] system of food protection, be familiar with Customs regulations relative to bonded material and regulated waste handling, be knowledgeable and have the ability to learn applicable U.S. Government and local regulations governing safe food handling and prevention of food borne illness, hold ServSafe certification.
- Must be knowledgeable and stay current with Ramp Safety policies and procedures.
