As an in-home family social worker with Wellspring, you’ll be part of a team of social workers and program managers committed to helping families across Gaylord, Grayling, & Mio. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community to help families get the resources they need. You will bring experience working with children and families and you will also hold a bachelor's degree in social work or related human services field.

Here are some of what you'll be responsible for:

• Maintain face to face contact with families according to the contract defined frequency and the individual needs of the family.
• Provide skills training, including but not limited to parental resilience, social connections and concrete support, child development, social and emotional competence of children, nurturing and attachment and infant safe sleep.
• Provide support, counseling and crisis counseling to families.
• Provide and assist families in connecting to resources and obtaining concrete needs such as housing, transportation, home maintenance and repair.
• Refer families/make collateral contacts to community services.
• Prepare written reports to DHS including Initial Assessments, Progress Reports and Terminations Summaries within the expected time frames.
• Travel is required about 50% of the time as you work across Gaylord, Grayling, & Mio.
• Observe and respond to early signs of abuse and neglect.
• Provide access to 24/7 crisis intervention.
• Meet with your team biweekly in-person.
