JOB SUMMARY:The Industrial Engineer designs production layouts and processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained. This position is also responsible for organizing data related to sales numbers, market research, logistics, linguistics, or other behaviors. They utilize technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high-quality. Data is then analyzed, designed, and presented in a way that assists individuals, businesses, and organizations make better decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage complex projects in development of manufacturing methods and processes, facility related energy and cost savings, and plant engineering activities.
2. Troubleshoot equipment, errors with routings, costing issues and research solutions to resolve problems.
3. Investigate, establish, and implement requirements for methods of production: time studies; capacity planning; manpower planning; routings; part structures.
4. Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
5. Study time, motion, methods, or speed involved in maintenance, production, or other operations to establish standard production rate or improve efficiency.
6. Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems (SAP, SharePoint, Excel, Access, etc.).
7. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
8. Interpret data, analyze results in complex data sets using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports using Power BI. Ability to report on and to explain complex data in simple terms.
9. Ability to design databases with both front-end and back-end users in mind.
10. Support Industry 4.0 efforts with SAP integration and data analysis.
11. Support all departments with general SAP needs, troubleshooting, improvement opportunities, and KPI analysis.
12. Maintain existing and implement new SAP variant configuration models as developed by CoEs.
13. Primarily work independently, but also frequently collaborate with other department personnel.
14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess and display Interroll’s Guiding Principles at all times.
2. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or a field like mathematics, statistics, economics, finance or computer science.
3. Possess strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to work with data architects and other IT specialist to set up, maintain and monitor data networks.
6. Familiarity with data base management best practices and possess a working knowledge of database structure languages, such as Power BI, Access, and SQL databases. Working knowledge of SharePoint.
7. Possess strong proficiency with SAP, specifically variant configuration models.
8. Possess the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Possess the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
9. Possess judgment and decision-making qualities for situations that go beyond clear, concise guidelines and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
10. Possess advanced communication skills and the ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedures. Possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
