At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. The Job Responsibilities/Duties of an Industrial Hygiene Surveyor include:

  • Performing industrial hygiene tasks assigned including sampling and monitoring in accordance with established CPCCo policies and procedures.
  • Providing documentation of operations and monitoring activities as required.
  • Providing support to special projects as assigned.
  • Briefing and/or supporting project personnel with IH work documentation requirements as directed by management.
  • Assisting in research of new IH equipment and technologies as requested by IH supervision.
  • Maintaining proficiency requirements as an industrial Hygiene Surveyor (IHS), radiological worker and hazardous waste worker.
  • Supporting training of other IHSs for which they are qualified when assigned by supervision.

Basic Qualifications
* AA/AS degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, or other related science field with a minimum 4 years of industrial hygiene experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be capable of meeting physical requirements for working in a hazardous waste environment, work in radiological environment, and able to wear respiratory equipment.
  • US Citizen

Desired Qualifications
* Capability of using Microsoft Office software suite and other software programs.
  • A motivated self-starter willing to support the extended project team and take an active part in making them successful.
