KLA Schools of Huntsville is an innovative preschool inspired by the world-renowned Reggio Emilia
Approach to Early Childhood Education. We are looking to fill several part time and full time Teacher positions in our Huntsville location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provides meaningful and enriching experiences for children aligned with their developmental milestones
-Works together with a team of enthusiastic individuals dedicated to providing high quality education
-Documents daily happenings as well as observations of student growth
-Creates and maintains positive relationships with children and families
-Supervises and manages daily functions for a classroom of children
- Keep a positive and open communication with parents
REQUIREMENTS:
-Must have previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in an infant/ toddler class.
-Must meet DHR requirements for the state of Alabama.
-Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Education, preferably in Early
Childhood Education preferred.
-Experience with curriculum development and implementation
-Early childhood education classroom experience
-Willingness to learn and grow
-Strong communication skills and a friendly, nurturing attitude
-Excellent organizational and time management skills
-High level of computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, email)
-Bilingual is a plus
DHR Alabama requirements:
Child care workers/teachers who have primary responsibility for the care of a group of children shall be at least 19 years of age and shall have a high school diploma or general education diploma (G.E.D.). Within thirty (30) days after employment, child care workers/ teachers shall have at least twelve (12) clock hours of training in child care and development through participation in workshops, meetings, videotapes, or one-to-one consultation, unless written documentation of prior equivalent training is on file. Training in child care shall include at least one (1) hour in each of these areas:
(1) child development;
(2) health, safety and universal precautions;
(3) quality child care and licensing;
(4) the child care professional and the family;
(5) language development;
(6) positive discipline and guidance.
