Cumberland Manor has an opening for a Infection Prevention Nurse for our beautiful 196 bed skilled nursing and rehab center.
Cumberland Manor is a LTC/SUB ACUTE nursing facility located in Bridgeton, N.J that has an exciting opportunity to work and grow with an industry leader in skilled nursing and sub-acute rehabilitation.

Infection Prevention Nurse Responsibilities:
- Develops, reviews, and updates and implements all policies and procedures on Infection control
- Develops updates and enforces procedures for reportable and non-reportable infections
- Track infection control statistics
- In this role, you will serve as the nursing centers' prevention and control officer and function as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator
- Your focus is infection prevention - control activities, outcome - process surveillance, outbreak management and employee health
- Oversee the nursing centers' Infection Control and Prevention Program to minimize the risk of infection
- Facilitate infection control training for all newly hired employees and conduct annual competency training for nurses administering tuberculosis testing
- Review the immunization documentation/status for all new hires with the center to ensure compliance
- Develop education programs in response infection control needs identified through Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement, rounding and center quality measures
Infection Prevention Nurse Qualifications:
- Must have current New Jersey License
- Must have prior experience in Infection Prevention (RN preferred or LPN w/ Experience)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a skilled nursing / sub-acute setting
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
