Roberts PolyPro is seeking an experienced Plastics Injection Molding Process Technician to set-up and operate the injection molding machines. The Process Technician would be responsible for mold changes, color changes, set up and process adjustments on the injection molding machine and necessary auxiliary equipment to achieve quality product in a timely manner. This position reports to the Production Manager.

Are you passionate about this work?

• Responsible for performing all aspects of the job in a safe manner and observing all safety regulations. Conducts periodic safety checks and involved the team in identifying unsafe conditions and the resolution of those conditions
• Responsible for timely startups and shutdowns to maximize productivity and reduce unnecessary downtime
• Assigned projects pertaining to process and changeover continuous improvement opportunities
• Perform mold changes, process set-ups, color changes and quality checks
• Establish process window to produce quality product at optimal cycle time
• Documentation of process set-up sheets and establishing process window by setting alarm limits
• Perform basic troubleshooting of injection molding machine and auxiliary equipment
• Troubleshoot and make adjustments to process when necessary
• Monitor and inspect quality of material produced

• Overall knowledge of tools, instruments and standard test equipment and plant processes
• Excellent communication with strong leadership skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels

• Flexible and dedicated to doing what it takes to get the job done
• High School/GED, 2-year technical certification preferred
• Experience with Plastic Injection Molding Machines required
• 2 or more years Process Technician experience in injection molding manufacturing
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move shipments to hand truck
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical and production documentation
• Ability to respond to common inquiries from management and effectively present information
• Ability to solve problems and implement permanent corrective action
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Mechanical aptitude
