PURPOSE
Act as the first point of contact for customer sales inquiries and leads. Provide prospecting, quoting, and pricing support to Sales team. Provide excellent service and develop strong working relationships with customers and business partners (suppliers, vendors).
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide inside sales and customer service support for all customers, suppliers, and vendors, including product sourcing, vendor assistance, quoting, and job status communication.
- Support customers, suppliers, and vendors via email and phone communications.
- Maintain open, timely communication company leadership, customers, and business partners.
- Promote a positive attitude to co-workers, customers, suppliers, and vendors, while promoting company services.
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience inside sales and customer service required.
- Experience working with gear manufacturing and machine shops, not required but a plus.
- Experience with manufacturing quoting process and tools, not required but a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to customer questions and information.
- Ability to specify technical products and to provide technical sales information.
- Strong PC and collaboration software skills with the ability to use business applications to improve efficiency and effectively communicate.
- Ability to learn/use specific enterprise software tools such as SolidWorks CAD, JobBoss ERP, Microsoft Office and Google Office.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
This is a full-time position based in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, with a typical work schedule from 8am – 5pm Monday through Thursday and Friday 8am – 12pm, however hours may vary based on production scheduling. At times, extended work hours may be required as dictated by business needs. Overtime should not exceed 10% on average.
