    Salary: Salary placement on our Certified Salary schedule is dependent on the employees’ education and/or work experience. Certified/licensed employees will be granted one (1) year for each full year of contractual and/or work experience up to a maximum of ten (10) years, which includes in-district and out-of-district contractual teaching and/or work experience.     EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    Required:
    • Valid Colorado Teaching License
    • Applicant must have three years of successful teaching experience, proven leadership qualities, and deep understanding of pedagogy.
    Preferred:
    • Master's degree
    • Prior successful leadership experience on building and/or district curriculum or improvement committees
    • Successful experience working in an inclusive environment with emerging bilingual learners, culturally linguistically diverse learners, and students with special needs is desired.

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Summary/Objective: The Instructional Coach assists with the implementation of the district initiatives and strategic plan to increase student achievement by working directly with schools and teachers for best instructional practices and assist with professional development, work with building administrators, and coaching. A collaborative model is used to enroll teachers in a side-by-side learning partnership. This coach will work directly with efforts to help teachers improve.

    Essential Functions:
    • Collaborate with teachers as they implement research-based instructional strategies in district and school identified initiatives.
    • Cultivate strong, collegial relationships with all staff by building rapport and trust through conversations, modeling and observing in the classrooms.
    • Support teachers as they learn how to effectively utilize district and school instructional materials and instructional models.
    • Coach teachers as they learn to appropriately administer and interpret assessment to design and differentiate instruction for all students.
    • Coach teachers as they use data from valid and reliable assessments to design and differentiate instruction for all students.
    • Establish and maintain an effective partnership with the building principal and district leaders.
    • Assist teachers in the implementation of appropriate interventions.
    • Develop as a coach through district training, collaboration with coaches and independent study.
    • Coach teachers in the areas of co-teaching, blended learning, and project based learning.
    • Coach teachers to build cultural proficiency in order to build an inclusive environment aimed at providing access to learning for all students.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Additional Qualifications: Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students. Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies. Visual, auditory and ambulatory ability. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Conflict management skills. Strong organizational skills. Empathetic. Positive relationship builder. Knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to perform the function of the position as outlined.
