Insurance Service Representative II

Starting Pay: $35,000

Primary Responsibility
The Commercial Lines Account Processor will be primarily responsible for servicing and handling of commercial accounts.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for the account executive and account manager in processing all lines of commercial insurance in accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined in the agency procedures.
  • Assist with marketing process, ordering loss runs, prepare proposals/summaries and premium comparisons
  • Issues and process certificates, endorsements and other related items.
  • Complete all billings and invoicing on new business, renewals, endorsement, audits and monthly reports
  • Policy checking and delivery to clients
  • Pursue a program of personal and professional development (Designation)
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of client and policy information in the agency management system.

  • Provide backup and support for other team members.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid Texas General Lines Agent License
  • One year of Commercial Lines knowledge
  • One year of insurance processing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree in business or risk management and insurance

  • Intermediate to advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn the agency management software.
  • Ability to work with internal and external clients at all levels.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated and meets timed deadlines.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures set forth by the agency.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Travel
Less than 10% travel

Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Clear and conceptual thinking ability, excellent judgement, trouble shooting, problem solving, analysis, decision making and discretion. The ability to handle time deadlines, work-related stress; ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
