Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience

Currently, we are looking for a full time Intake Referral Sorter for our Modesto location.
Responsibilities:
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Work the assigned eFax inboxes hourly for sorting timely to subfolders to meet turn around time of 24/48 hours referral entry
- Review EMR to determine new patient or existing patient new case per referral received
- Secures needed documentation required or requested by insurances.
- Keeps updated on all contracted and non-contracted payors for TPG Partners
- Maintains confidentiality of all information.
- Completes work within authorized time to assure compliance with departmental standards. Same day/same half day deadline in sorting inbound referrals to subfolders as applicable
- Demonstrates knowledge of, and supports TPG mission, vision, core values, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
- Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Gmail
- Must be able to learn EMR software in a timely manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all areas of assigned work
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Ability to support clinic and administration staff members as needed to ensure accurate processes.
- Must be organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to communicate complex information in a well thought-out easily understood manner, both orally and in writing in a variety of settings and styles
- Ability to communicate in an honest, direct, and professional manner, relating well to others to build rapport and effective relationships
- Ability to demonstrate active listening by asking clarifying questions, identify and share relevant information and solicit feedback from others and give and receives feedback objectively

Education and Experience:
Education: Degree Preferred/Educational background, but minimum of three years’ experience in a previous healthcare intake position meets the requirements
Experience:
- Experience in healthcare, physical therapy, outpatient services preferred
- Minimum three years’ experience in hospital or health system managed care contracting with payors and/or health care providers,
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex contract issues
- Strong business acumen with strategic thinking ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Internet, Outlook
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Requires prolonged sitting, some walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports.
