The Behavioral Health (BHI) Therapist is responsible for providing behavioral health assessments and brief therapy to students referred by the medical clinic. The BHI Therapist will be located in the medical clinic and will follow the SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, & Referral to Treatment) model. This is a full-time, non-exempt position; reporting to Behavioral Health Associate Director. Salary range is $63,939.20 - $73,465.60 per year depending on experience and licensure.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Human Services/ Behavioral Sciences or related field
- Current Agency Affiliated, Associate, or Fully Licensed MSW, MFT or MHC professional in Washington State
- One or more years clinical experience working with children and families
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to provide both mental health and substance use disorders interventions and treatments
- Experience providing SBIRT preferred
- Experience navigating different systems (schools/families)
- Experience working with trauma issues
- Excellent organizational/administrative skills with good computer skills
- Commitment to confronting racism, sexism, heterosexism, and other discriminatory practices
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to change
- Sense of humor
