Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Integrated Office Services - Mail Room/Store Clerk to join its organization. This position is located in Linthicum, Maryland.

Primary Function:

Daily operations to include working closely with the MDC and Friendship Square mail room with receipt/distribution of incoming mail and parcels. Responsible for both delivery/pickup of outgoing mail and parcels within multiple Northrop Grumman facilities. Perform various sales counter/clerical functions associated with the Employee Store.

1. Receive, sort, and distribute and coordinate all incoming internal mail and parcels from the material distribution center (MDC).
2. Daily interaction with the transportation services drivers, coordinating pick up and deliveries with them.
3. Full understanding and operational knowledge of the handheld scanners for tracking incoming material and inter building parcel movement.
4. Knowledge of how the shipping/tracking system works and the use of tracking system software with data input of customer/source information.
5. Daily interaction with Northrop Grumman employees to resolve recipient/location discrepancies to ensure accurate & timely internal delivery.
6. Routine visual inspection of all incoming mail/parcels.
7. General knowledge of Northrop Grumman facilities, locations, mailstops/room structure.
8. Perform various sales and cashier functions associated with the Employee Store. Reconcile and maintain records of store transactions as required.
9. Perform manual and clerical duties that may utilize computers, including cash registers.
10. Determine acceptability of cash, checks, credit cards, and other transactional funds within prescribed limits.
11. Coordinate merchandise and ticket sales between the sector employee stores.
12. Prepare inventory list of merchandise and accessories. Submit list to management for use in ordering and preparing purchase orders.

This is 1st shift SEA Union Represented position

Education Requirement:

High school graduate or equivalent. Must have 6 (six) college credits or equivalent in merchandising required from an accredited university or college.

Experience Requirement:

Three (3) years of equivalent experience. Proficient in processing cash, checks, and charge transactions. Demonstrated proficiency in business applications and PC based software applications such as spreadsheet, work processing, e-mail and database software.
