Position Description:

Intermediate Systems Engineer (Linux) to support NAVOCEANO N6 System and Network Administration Task order starting in early June. The period of performance for this support will be for approximately 9 months, starting in June 2023 and ending in May 2024. This position is an onsite position located at Stennis Space Center. There will be no travel associated with this support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • User password changes.
  • Establishment of user accounts.
  • System trouble shooting and resolution
  • System Administration and Cybersecurity Documentation
  • Perform cybersecurity analysis following DoD, DoN, and NAVOCEANO policies, processes and guidelines
  • The contractor shall be responsible for performing workstation computer operating system loads and configuration.
  • The contractor shall be responsible for application installations.
  • Assists users with IT issues submitted through help desk
  • The contractor shall perform system administration duties to include operating system installation, patching, upgrades for Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstations and servers.
  • The contractor shall perform installation of approved software on Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstations and servers.
  • The contractor shall conduct system administration tasks following DoD, DoN, and NAVOCEANO policies, processes and guidelines

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum DoD SECRET Clearance with T5 (formerly known as SSBI) Investigation
  • Security+ CE Certification (or comparable to meet DoD 8570 IAT II requirements)
  • Training in and demonstrable experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 or 8
