K-12 Compliance & Academic Support Services Principal

Description:
The K-12 Compliance and Academic Support Services Principals works closely with school-level principals to ensure school-wide academic compliance at the local, state and federal levels. This position fosters partnership and collaboration across the elementary, middle and high schools to support alignment in strategy, curriculum, assessment, academic support services, etc.

Direct Reports: K-12 ELD Director, K-12 SPED Director, K-12 Restorative Interventions Counseling Director, Gifted/Talented & CCLC Grant Director, and School Nurse
Compensation:
This is a full-time, year-round position. Salary range is $90,000 - $133,000 annually, dependent upon education and experience. See a detailed outline of benefits and additional compensation at the bottom of the job description.
Essential Functions:
Management
- Coach, support, provide feedback to, and evaluate direct reports.
- Collaborate with school principals to support the implementation of ELD, SPED, and Counseling services and programming in relation to larger school-wide and individual school goals.
- Coordinate and communicate schedules and logistics for teacher professional development courses (e.g. CLD courses) through Educator’s Place
Alignment
- Collaborate with school principals to foster alignment of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and building-level leadership team structures and processes.
- Collaborate with principals and directors to support vertical and horizontal alignment of curriculum adoption and instruction K-12 to support the needs of the students and align with state standards.
- Facilitate the partnership among the ELD, GT, and SPED Directors and Principals to align intervention programs including data collection, progress monitoring, programming, etc.
- Oversee the alignment of the educator evaluation criteria and process in collaboration with school principals and the HR department.
- Coordinate the K-12 professional development calendar – providing the appropriate balance of K-12 alignment and school-level autonomy to ensure the resources and support for education staff are highly effective and purposeful in relation to school-wide goals and strategies.
- Facilitate collaboration among school principals, directors, and operations leaders to prepare for back-to-school activities (e.g. professional development, team building, classroom set-up time, etc.)
- Expect, model, and support the effective use of data in all levels of decision-making.
Compliance
- Serve as Pinnacle liaison to the charter authorizer, Colorado Charter School Institute (CSI).
- Ensure the school is meeting all CSI, Colorado Department of Education (CDE), and federal government academic mandates and legal academic requirements.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of the School Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) in collaboration with all stakeholders; oversee the UIP review and revision process.
- Oversee and coordinate the K-12 assessment calendar; work with school principals to manage assessment logistics and the collection and dissemination of assessment data.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to update the Pinnacle Student/Family Handbook annually or more frequently when needed.
- Work with the School Nurse and Health team to ensure the school meets all Tri-County Health Department and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment regulations and mandates for schools.
- Support the implementation of PCS goals, mission, and vision as directed by the CEO and School Board. Attend all Board Meetings as requested.
- Work with ELD, GT, and SPED Directors to identify areas of improvement for students and develop solutions.
- Partner with school principals to implement the school’s academic initiatives and strategic plan while ensuring that Colorado education standards are met or exceeded.

- Maintain and deepen current professional learning on an ongoing basis.

- Must possess a valid Colorado Administrator/Principal License.
- Minimum of five years successful teaching experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in local, state and federal education compliance preferred.

Working Conditions:
Exposure/Noise Level: Occasional exposure to airborne particles, fumes, and outdoor weather conditions. Normal school environment with moderate to high noise level.
Mental Functions: Analyze, collaboration, communicate, compare, compilation of data, compute, coordinate, copy, direct, evaluate, instruct, interpersonal skills, present, report, synthesize.
Physical Activities: O?ce environment including computer interface. Bend, reach, sit, stand, stoop, talk, walk, and heavy person-to-person interaction with students, parents, peers, and community members.
