Zions Bancorp is looking for a top International Banking Manager candidate to join the Bancorp. Our bankers are experienced professionals who understand the global marketplace complexities and are committed to helping customers prosper in the international arena. International Banking is a full-service lending group with expertise in:
Export Trade Finance, including EXIM Bank Programs
Letters of Credit
Export Trade Services
Trade Cycle Finance
Supply Chain Finance
Foreign Exchange
The International Banker will be responsible for generating and structuring credit enhanced and conventional loans by proactively calling, developing, and maintaining relationships externally in the marketplace and internally by working with Commercial Lenders, Private Bankers, Specialty Lenders, and Business Bankers.
The position is responsible for overseeing the strategic relationship building, integrated business development and retention of International Banking clients. Additional International Banking objectives:
Act as an account and relationship manager for new and existing clients.
Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by generating, managing and servicing a portfolio of clients.
Participate in joint business development calls with Bankers to assist in identifying and facilitating sales opportunities.
Acquire business from customers and prospects engaged in importing and exporting to generate and grow revenue.
Sell traditional trade business products such as import and export Letters of Credit, Foreign Exchange and Trade Finance Loans in pre-export, post-export and import financing.
Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies to cover the market.
Develop, generate and follow-up on new client leads through existing clients and referrals from other bank departments.
Call on existing relationships to review portfolios and make recommendations as needed.
Responsible for sales, credit analysis, proper loan structuring, client interviewing and perceptive character judgment.
Determine appropriate products and services to best meet each client's needs.
Remain well versed in industrial, economic and financial situations as well as regulatory requirements relating to international banking.
May be assigned to specialized industry or market segments.
Assist with other duties as needed for the success of the team.
Successful candidates will have these credentials:
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field and 7+ years of experience in selling financial services and products in Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange or other directly related experience.
Experience with working capital guarantee loans or other credit enhanced financing is preferred.
A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
Basic knowledge of credit and lending practices and specific international trade products and banking services, including depository services.
Basic knowledge of working capital guarantee loans or other credit enhanced financing.
Good customer relations and business development skills.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to build strong working relationships.
Good problem resolution, decision making and negotiation skills.
Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office.
