Position Summary

MEPPI's Power Systems Group (PSG) is looking for an International Regional Sales VP to establish and direct all sales and marketing functions of products and services in the Latin America, South America, and Central America area for MEPPI's Power System Products dealing with the electric utility industry.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve the PSGs objectives including profitability, sales volume, and market share. Establish and track measurable goals for sales, profitability and market share on an annual and ongoing basis.

  • Collaborate with the division sales teams to establish pricing and scheduling to secure bookings and maximize profit.
  • Manage and lead all commercial aspects for new and existing accounts including the negotiation of commercial terms and conditions according to Company and division goals and guidelines.
  • Assess customer’s business needs and develop best solutions and alternatives to meet those needs.
  • Develop forecasts for assigned accounts and continuously monitor performance and recommend adjustments to forecasts as necessary.
  • Research and analyze market statistics, business and economic trends, customer actions, and competitor products and activities. Utilize research to determine the impact on PSG plans and ability to meet objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors with major accounts.
  • Manage, coordinate, and evaluate activities of independent sales representative organizations.
  • Establish, coordinate, and measure PSG standards of quality and service.
  • Act as the interface between the customer and all relevant internal divisions including sales, production, service and support to ensure timely and successful delivery and operation of all products and solutions.
  • Implement and manage the sales channel to customers.
  • Coordinate marketing communication programs.
  • Manage marketing resources as required.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Power Systems Group through effective interactions with customers and stakeholders.
  • Know MEPPI’s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in electric utility industry, or equivalent education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven track record of building strong working relationships and executing across all functions and levels of an organization
  • Advanced creative, analytical, negotiation, customer service, managerial and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, a commitment to quality, results driven and customer focused
  • Strong team-orientation and individual presence
  • Developed computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office products.

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, marketing or science or other relevant, with a minimum 10 years of experience in electric utility industry of the assigned international region, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with prospects, customers, employees and industry experts.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and commercial agreements.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft products.
  • Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time as required.
