The Inventory Management & Purchasing Coordinator has the primary responsibility of increasing and maintaining company profitability by sustaining accurate inventory levels and also make purchases as needed.

Primary Responsibilities
· Help drive accountability to ensure that inventory discrepancies are root caused and counter measured
· Ensure that the purchased products and materials meet specific technical specifications
· Performs cycle counting, bin audits, and inventory reconciliation.
· Move materials throughout the facility via forklift as required.
· Communicates the status level of parts and materials using manual reporting methods to insure parts availability
· Track & organize scrap pieces
· Capable of working individually or within a team
· Highly organized and detail oriented
· Above-average Microsoft Excel skills
· Strong communicator and teamwork-oriented
· Organized and exhibits a sense of urgency when necessary.
· Strong sense of quality focus and takes initiative to lead others and drive projects.
· Must be able to work in warehouse conditions (mechanical noise, weather, etc.)
· Requires a High School Diploma or work experience within the steel/metals industry
Experience
· 1+ years of experience as an Inventory specialist or in a similar role
· 1 years of experience specifically in metals / steel manufacturing preferred
· Proficient knowledge of computer systems such as Excel, word processing and managing files and records.
Visual and Hearing: Must be able to see with corrective eye wear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance, wearing hearing protection; Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and walking. Should be able to lift 35 lbs. unassisted.
