Scope of Position:
The position will support a wide variety of supply chain management activities in planning/logistics, procurement, and inventory control.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Planning and logistics
o General production planning/scheduling administrative support
o Daily logistics support, coordination, scheduling, paperwork, communication, etc.
- Procurement
o Purchase order management and support including: issuing, acknowledgments, changes, past-due tracking, expediting, invoice issue resolution, etc.
o Vendor management activities including: adds, changes, non-disclosure agreements, certificates of insurance, etc.
o Miscellaneous systems setups for new inventory items
- Inventory control
o General warehousing and inventory control administrative support
o Periodic physical and cycle counting
o Project support for inventory reductions
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel required (less than 5%)
Hours of Work:
- Regular office hours (Monday - Friday)
- 40+ hours per week
Required Education:
- Associate degree is required. Concentration in a business-related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience
Required Area of Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain is preferred (procurement, inventory control, warehousing, transportation/logistics, etc.).
- Peoplesoft experience preferred
Required Skills:
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Previous experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems/tools/applications. Examples of ERP systems include but are not limited to PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, etc. Ability to extract systems data to enable analysis / decision-making
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicate proactively across an organization, and drive issues to closure/resolution
