General Description
Support in the creation, establishment, and maintenance of the information technology/security risk framework, processes, and controls, considering the overall business strategy, legal/regulatory requirements, and other best practices. Perform security assessment to applications, systems, and vendors. Manage the various risks, which may threaten the organization's success and propose methodologies to eliminate or minimize them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform security assessment of applications, systems, and vendors.
Discuss and follow up action plans to address recommendations from security assessments.
Develop, review, and update Policies, Standards, and Procedures related to Information Security.
Prepare metrics and reports related to security assessment.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Industrial Engineering
Experience
Two to five years of related experience. Certifications and licenses preferable CISA, CISM, and CISSP.
Other Qualifications
Knowledge of Information Security and Information Technology concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Identifies and resolves problems on time and develops alternative solutions.)
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of Word Processing, Presentations, Spreadsheets, and other productivity tools.
Ability to process data and format to generate reports.
Ability to learn new topics and concepts.
Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and technology.
Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Spanish.
Knowledge of applicable local and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Knowledge of computer flow charts and of programming logic and codes.
