The Job
An IT Asset Management technican will work within the ITAM team that is responsible for the procurement, inventory and tracking of all electronic assets including computers, tablets, printers, monitors and other computer related equipment.
You Will
- Assist with Asset receiving, distribution, tracking, and disposal
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.). Setups may be remote requiring shipping of equipment.
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality.
- Facilitate return of company assets and equipment after separations.
- Provide hardware, software, printer, and network support.
- Evaluate old equipment and dispose as needed.
- Help to maintain appropriate asset inventory levels and advise when orders need to placed.
- Record detailed incident descriptions in the ticketing system and follow up to resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Provide management notifications for all critical system issues that are impacting the business.
- Contribute to special projects as required.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.
- Routinely walk SCAN buildings to reclaim unused or obsolete equipment.
- Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.

Your Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Systems or related field of study required.
- 4-5 years working in IT Helpdesk Environment. Advanced experience with PC Operating Systems and software.
- Working Knowledge of Active Directory and ticketing systems.
- Demonstrated customer service skills to all levels of end-users including executives and field personnel and delivering solutions to meet their needs.
- Work independently and as a team member within established policies and procedures.
- Proven problem solving and analytical abilities; experience with process development and adherence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required.
