We're on the hunt for a Rockstar IT Help Desk Technician to join our growing managed service provider crew at Bytecafe Consulting! As a managed service provider, we provide proactive IT support to our SMB clients in the Indianapolis area.

As our IT Help Desk Technician, you'll use your troubleshooting techniques and critical thinking to help our clients with their end-user/endpoint-related IT incidents and requests. You'll provide basic troubleshooting for mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established procedures, including installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on desktops, laptops, servers, networking devices, and related software. You will escalate the more complex incidents to the next level of support, Level 2 and Level 3. You'll primarily work in-house but as needed go on-site to our clients in the Indianapolis area.

You will be most successful as an IT Help Desk Technician if you've had hands-on experience with:

  • At least 2 years related experience troubleshooting workstations, printer/scanner, mobile device, line of business application, basic networks and servers.
  • Previous MSP experience highly desired.
  • Experience in hardware support, including backup software configuration experience with common data protection applications; anti-virus configuration, troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Fundamental troubleshooting and support in: Windows 7 & 10; mobile devices; Office 365, and Windows Operating Systems (Desktop and Server)
  • Active Directory (user group and group management), DNS, DHCP
  • Familiarity with Windows Servers 2016, 2019, 2022
