The role
An opportunity has arisen for an IT Security Analyst to join Glanbia Business Services.
This is an excellent progression opportunity for an internal candidate seeking to move into an exciting and constantly evolving sector and will report to the Head of Information Security
The IT Security Analyst role is a strategic role forming and delivering on Glanbia’s vision and roadmap for IT Security services.
As a progression opportunity, this is a role suitable for applicants with a proven track record in their current role, stakeholder communications, working with business customers and managing change processes.
A successful candidate must demonstrate strong technical skills combined with impersonal skills to work with IT, OT and business process specialists to visualise and implement future state IT landscapes.

Location
The base location of the role will be Illinois, with a hybrid working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.

Key elements of the role:
Monitor operational compliance reporting for patching, hardening, software currency, identity management and data loss prevention baselines
Running daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly control tests and reporting on results
Ensure integration of Glanbia’s security monitoring platforms with relevant end pints
As part of a team, respond to and manage security incidents and alerts
Run vulnerability scanning / policy compliance schedules and manage distribution of reports and follow up actions
Maintain a catalogue of control compliance metrics for Glanbia IT functions and external suppliers include cloud service providers
Review and maintain control baselines to reflect changing business and IT strategies
Review Technical Change requests for compliance what standards and policies
Ensure the Information Security and IT standards are accessible and understood
Monitor Group IT compliance with stated disaster recovery plan requirements
Support the development and maintenance of IT and Security standards
Promote the importance of Information Security and IT Risk Management
Work with suppliers of IT, OT and security services to ensure the on-going maintenance of a secure operating environment across all Glanbia locations

Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (NFQ 7 or higher) in IT or associated discipline
A security related qualification (SSCP, CISSP, CISM) is not essential. Glanbia will support the right candidate in obtaining a relevant Information Security Qualification

Experience
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a relevant IT or security role
Experience of working with third-party consultants in a project implementation
Excellent analytical and technical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
