Haywood EMC is recruiting for an IT Security Specialist or IT Security Analyst to join our team. This position provides efficient and cost-effective information and communication systems for the cooperative by providing IT security systems support and proactively elicits needs of the various departments and employees, in order to ensure that the systems are meeting company IT requirements.Candidate must have a bachelor's of science in computer science or an associate's degree in computer science with two years of directly related experience. IT Security Specialist is an entry level IT position and IT Security Analyst would be an experience IT Security professional with six years of progressively responsible experience with LAN/WAN and/or computer systems and/or IT security. Candidates must also have a thorough understanding of data processing concepts and the application to business function, use MITRE diagrams to form and develop knowledge of normal company functions and use them to identify when deviations occur, have knowledge of programming and software coding/scripting required to be used with PEN testing, creating and/or modifying alerts, and other IT functions, have strong analytical skills and ability to research and understand cybersecurity threats and provide solutions, have thorough understanding of computer hardware, software, LAN/WAN networks and IT components, must live within 30 highway miles of 376 Grindstone Rd., Waynesville, NC.
