As an IT Support Engineer at OwnBackup you will be responsible for providing technical support to internal staff, as well as maintaining and troubleshooting the internal systems. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Global IT team, responsible for providing outstanding customer service to our employees.

Your Day-to-Day Role

  • Providing 1st & 2nd Line to end users locally and international sites on all local IT hardware and software issues.
  • Support for 1000+ Mac users globally on laptops, including monitors, tablets, printers, peripherals, and applications.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining local IT hardware and software according to policies in place.
  • Identifying the cause of hardware and software failures and providing corrective action to rectify the problem.
  • Maintaining inventories of software, hardware and peripherals using an asset management software.
  • Identifying solutions which will reduce or eliminate the re-occurrence of hardware and software problems.
  • Ensuring email and other communication systems are operating properly, efficiently, and in accordance with corporate security and retention policies
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install and manage desktop, laptop and mobile computing devices.
  • Working with other technical teams to triage support tickets.
  • Provide support to other business units in the company as directed by IT management
  • Ensure IT Issues are being resolved in a timely manner according to the policies in place.
  • Strong team player and proactive communicator with service-oriented attitude and customer focus
  • A commitment to collaborative problem solving and customer service quality is essential
  • Excellent customer service skills

Your Work Experience

  • A minimum of 1 years' Help Desk experience supporting a Mac environment within a business environment
  • Previous experience supporting large organizations with offices in multiple geographies
  • Well versed in Mac OS and Apple iOS
  • Knowledge of Zoom, Slack and G-Suite applications.
  • Ability to relate to and effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
  • Process oriented, but flexible around business needs.
  • Exhibits courtesy, tact, consideration, teamwork and discretion in all interactions with staff and with the public.
  • Independent worker with good task and time management skills.
  • Focused, with strong attention to detail.

Important Details

This is a full time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our San Diego office to maximize collaboration and interaction with business.

The base salary hiring range for this position is$68,000.00 - $85,000.00. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be dependent upon various factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, scope of the role, and location.
