AT GATR Truck Center, we believe in quality. From the trucks, truck parts and service we provide, to the people we employ. We currently have five locations throughout Minnesota and Iowa to service our customers, and we are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our GATR team.

Primary duties will consist of but not be limited to:

• Troubleshoot problems and answer questions to prevent downtime, while enhancing the use of hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and operating systems.
• Oversee computer systems that include management of domain user and computer accounts, manage user permissions, and monitor overall system performance.
• Resolve issues with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN) and other systems.
• Perform phone system configurations to align with business needs.
• Install software; maintain computer systems, and repair computer hardware and peripherals.
• Set up equipment for employee use, insuring proper configuration, installation of equipment, software installation.

Qualifications:

• User must have knowledge of the following: VPN, Virtual Server Environments, Wireless Networking, Active Directory, Printer Troubleshooting, DNS, and DHCP
• Ability to cooperate, work and communicate with co-workers, supervisors, outside contacts and customers to achieve GATR common goals.
• Adherence to GATR Policies and Procedures, safety guidelines, environmental regulations, equipment rules, and other applicable regulations.

• Ability to handle stress under pressure.
• Good planning, time management, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to meet changing demands.
• Strong communication skills with management, end users, and vendors using appropriate methods and detail to develop and maintain good interpersonal working relationships
• Exhibits strong writing skills. Is able to proficiently document department procedures and configurations
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of basic networking and network address schemes
• Demonstrates the ability to teach other at an appropriate level

Preferred Certifications:

• A+ Certification - or 3 - 5 years job related experience
• CompTIA Network+ - or 3 - 5 years job related experience
• Network+ - or 3 - 5 years job related experience
• CompTIA Server+ - or 3 - 5 years job related experience
