Stefanini Group is hiring for an IT Support Specialist who will provide business solution infrastructure support and end-user support for a specific production facility. This is for our client at Hagerstown, MD.

Description:

The IT Onsite Consultant role is the local representation of the Digital & IT for a specific business production facility in Hagerstown-MD. In this role, it is critical to work together with regional and global colleagues to deliver applications and infrastructure support for business solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting platforms (typically x86), Windows OS, LAN (wired and wireless), Smartphones, Linux, Windows enterprise client solutions for office and factory, personal mobility, and specialized factory devices such as bar code scanners, forklift mounted hardware and specialized Printing technology.
These technologies are highly standardized in Volvo, and much of the work is conducted according to standard processes and methodologies.

Core Responsibilities
* Support critical production applications and infrastructure solutions.
* Execute time-critical support of industrial IT solutions
* Collaborate with global support technicians in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and end-user problems, in addition to using all available resources such as personal skills, vendor documentation, and online knowledge bases
* Use delegated authority from global operations teams to manage local infrastructure solutions
* Proficient in general network design and troubleshooting from a connected device perspective

Required Competencies
* Broad IT background including software and hardware support such as PC, laptops, smartphones, laser, thermal printers and bar code scanners.
* Has ability to work in a fast paced environment which requires high level of sense of urgency.
* Has solid communication skills.
* Work patiently with end-users who are frustrated and need issues to be resolved quickly or helpful guidance with using the solutions.
* Is open to change and enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.
* Pursues tasks with energy, drives and has a need to finish.
* Has fluency in English, both written and spoken.
* ITIL Foundation Certified.
* Problem Solving / root cause analysis skills.
* Linux Ubuntu
* Windows 7 and 10.
* Cisco Network Troubleshooting.
* Problem Solving
* Manufacturing and business applications support
* Lean Manufacturing Basics.

Desirable Competences:
* Raspberry Pi
* ThingWorx
* Six Sigma

Work Hours: 7am to 3pm (EST). (Must have availability to work on weekends or others 2 shifts (3pm to 11pm or 11pm to 7am), this is based on production demand, which is currently on rare occurrence)

Note: Training will be provided from 3pm to 11pm in the first month. Duration may vary according to learning curve. Also, if consultant does not have ITIL Foundation Training, supplier responsible to provide to consultant during initial months of assignment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
