Trofholz Technologies, Inc. is searching for a hands-on IT Support Specialist who is a positive and team-oriented professional with a desire to develop and increase their capabilities within the security industry. Trofholz will be investing in further training to ensure the candidate is set-up for success. The identified professional will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of computer workstations and the associated software for the assigned project. The IT Technician will be the main point of contact for an employee who is experiencing computer issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist personnel with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
  • Offer daily operations and system support to assigned personnel
  • Verify functionality of hardware and software components
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person/remotely via the phone
  • Assist employees with computer problems and answer questions
  • Diagnose and correct problems with computer hardware and software
  • Conduct system backups as required
  • Documenting work in trouble ticket and project management software
  • Communicating with the end-user and team members

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Applied Computing/Computer Science (additional experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree)
  • 3 years experience in diagnosing, repairing, and installing computer systems and desktop support through experience with both windows and apple products and services
  • Strong understanding of Cisco, networks and routers
  • Microsoft Windows Products including:
    • Windows Server (2016,2019)
    • Windows 10 Pro/Enterprise
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Active Directory and managing User and Computer objects
  • CompTIA Security + CE Certification
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy and ability to diagnose issues related to applied policies.
  • Experience with Office 365 products and associated services including
    • SharePoint
    • Microsoft Exchange
    • Teams
    • OneDrive for Business
  • Knowledge DNS fundamentals
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Ability to multi-task, work with a team, and follow procedures
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Travel as needed (around 50%)
  • Active Secret government clearance or the ability to obtain


Preferred:

  • CISCO knowledge
  • Familiarity with working with the Department of Defense and its branches.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (Preferred certification in Windows 10 management)


Budget: $25.00 - $28.00
