Job description
Vitreo-Retinal Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Help Desk IT Support Specialist for its practice. The candidate will triage calls from 60+ staff members, conduct basic troubleshooting, and delegate tasks to appropriate vendors.
The candidate will support all four main locations: Canton, OH; Hermitage, PA; Mentor, OH; and Canfield, OH. Travel is required to all four locations to complete any hands-on work needed. Mileage will be reimbursed, and the travel time will be compensated. Candidate must have an interest in general IT and can multitask efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Customer service oriented
- Must maintain a level of professionalism and help lead practice staff with technical solutions
- Must be able to perform and maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to maintain an active schedule and complete tasks/projects (Self-sufficient) • Must meet performance KPI metrics and practice goals • High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of basic computer troubleshooting experience • Minimum of one year of basic networking experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexible schedule, including rare weekends or after business hours.
- Strong communication skills.
Technical proficiencies:
- Basic technical troubleshooting and critical thinking
- Basic troubleshooting of EHR and Practice management software
- Windows operating system (Desktop and Server)
- Windows domain administration (User management, Group Policy, Domain Controller administration)
- Network protocols (DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Network equipment troubleshooting (Switches, Routers, and Firewalls)
- Basic understanding of VMware Virtualization
- Basic understanding of VOIP
Responsibilities:
- Triage help desk tickets so that priority items are handled promptly.
- Accurately document work performed, staff interaction and time worked in the ticketing system.
- Know the retina office workflow and diagnostic testing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
