Cameron's Coffee and Chocolates is looking for a Full Time Job Coach. We are a nonprofit whose mission is to employ individuals with intellectual disabilities in meaningful employment. We operate a bakery, coffee and chocolate shop at our store in Fairfax, Virginia. Our job coaches work at a 5 to 1 ratio which means they supervise and work along side five workers with intellectual disabilities while they are working in our commercial kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with our community. Many of our job coaches have prior experience in teaching special education or volunteering with Special Olympics. In addition, any prior baking experience is helpful. However, we will train you on all the procedures to work and supervise others in our kitchen. Our model is one of parallel work where our job coaches work alongside our workers.

The ability to write both progress notes and individual service plans is very helpful. Training for both of these responsibilities can be provided if necessary. Having the ability to communicate and work with other management staff and parents is a big part of the success of our program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
