Acorn Valley Pet Boarding is seeking Kennel Attendants to join our team! Our Kennel Attendants are responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals staying at our facility. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves animals and can provide high-quality, compassionate pet care for our clients. Acorn Valley Pet Boarding is affiliated with Quakertown Veterinary Clinic.
This is a part-time opportunity. Starting rate is based on previous experience and qualifications. Available shifts include 7AM-1:30PM or 1:30PM-8PM (2-4 shifts per week preferred). We offer kennel services year-round, so in order to best serve our clients and their pets, a weekly weekend shift commitment and select holidays are required for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Handle general care tasks such as walking dogs, feeding animals, cleaning cages and medication administration
- Assist in restraining and bathing animals
- Follow a regular cleaning and sanitation schedule
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in animal handling or kennel care
- Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Candidates must be at least 16 years of age
Salary: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
