$20.48 per hour

Job Description / Duties
Provide Early Learning curriculum programming to a group of childen ages 3-5.

● Organizes, conducts and supervises activities for children ages 3 to 5 years of age

● Responsible for creating and implementing monthly/weekly lesson plans.

● Assist in program marketing; recordkeeping and preparing related reports.

● Makes recommendations regarding the acquisition or replacement of supplies.

● Set-up facility for special events, classes and activities.

● Adheres to City and departmental policies and procedures; performs related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience instructing and/or implementing age appropriate instruction to youth.
• Must be patient and work well with younger children while also being able to communicate effectively with parents.
• Must have reliable transportation and be dependable.
• Must be available to work at least three days per week from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Occasional Saturdays/evenings may also be needed for special events.
• All City of Los Angeles employees are mandated to be fully vaccinated & must be willing to wear a mask during work hours.
• Ability to effectively teach youth and act as a role model.
• Ability to be punctual, autonomous, self-governing, and motivated towards excellence.
• Ability to promote classes in the community through word of mouth and social media. Delivering and distributing flyers at schools, organizations, and local businesses; effectively communicating with community members, especially parents is required.
