We currently looking for a reliable, motivated employee to join our Lab Team.

Responsibilities:

- The Lab Assistant will be a self motivated individual responsible for assisting in maintaining a clean work environment and helping the Lab Technicians with day to day tasks to keep processes and product flowing smoothly.

- The Lab Assistant completes tasks assigned by the Lab Supervisor to monitor and maintain the organization, cleanliness and efficiency of production areas as well as to maintain quality control measures.

- Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the facility with focus and personal contributions towards a clean and organized assigned work area at the end of the assigned shift

-This position is responsible for assisting with lab production and cleaning, which includes but is not limited to distillation, extraction, winterization, production of cannabis infused products, compliance requirements, and workplace safety

- Must follow all applicable policies, procedures and guidelines

- This includes the safe and proper operation of any/all applicable machinery, instrumentation, and equipment

- Operate laboratory instruments, make observations, calculate and record results. Understand and meet daily goals set forth by the Lab Supervisor

- Work as part of a team to meet production schedules

- Employee may also be responsible for monitoring production lines and collecting samples for analysis

- Follow SOP and standard analytical procedures to meet Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices compliance

- Records data in lab notebooks, computer databases, and test reports

- Accurately weigh and package designated increments of extracted product

- Ensure that workflow and work procedures are documented, and appropriate controls and audits are in place to secure data and processing integrity

About You:

General

• Due to state regulations, qualified candidates for this position must be able to pass a background check – certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state marijuana licensing regulations.
• Show Me Organics hire candidates that are at least 21 years of age and up.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Cannabis experience preferred

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to accurately fill out documentation
• Must be able to clearly communicate with team members
• Possess basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
• Ability to gown and work in an aseptic/clean room environment.
• Safety equipment may be required
• Ability to understand and follow processes to produce products that meet quality standards
• Effective verbal and written communication skill
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands
• Ability to comply with established safety standards for the proper use, safe handling and disposal of harmful chemicals, substances, and hazardous wastes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
