The Laboratory Supervisor will be joining a knowledgeable team of skilled, dedicated and caring professionals at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, serving the growing communities of San Diego’s coastal North County since 1978. The team thrives in a fast-paced environment and prides itself in its efficiency. To be successful, the Laboratory Supervisor will be a positive, motivated, change leader able to provide excellent customer service to our healthcare partners.

The Laboratory Supervisor will:

• Oversee all personnel on their shift (Clinical Lab Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Lab Assistants and Pathology Assistants) and Clinical Lab Scientists on eve shift
• Manage performance evaluations, provide direct one-on-one coaching and training for new hires
• Lead process improvements
• Serve as the lab liaison for physicians and nurses

This is a Full time day shift position with start time at 7a or 8a

Qualifications - External

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• Inpatient experience as a generalist Clinical Lab Scientist
• Supervisor experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 Years experience in lab services
• 3 years as a clinical lab scientist
• California CLS (MTA) license
