The City of Saco is looking for a detail-oriented, independent and enthusiastic Laborer for our Public Works Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to landscaping, trash and recycling removal, and general worksite cleanup. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment including landscaping equipment, snowblower, and automobiles.
• Sweeps and mops floors; washes walls and windows; empties wastebaskets and recycling containers; and assists with painting activities or cleanup.
• Seasonal restroom stocking and cleaning at beaches and public parks.
• Lifts and carries supplies, materials, packages, etc., and delivers to appropriate offices, and storage areas.
• Emptying and collecting trash and recycling from various trash cans throughout the City.
• Performs semi-skilled labor associated with Public Works landscaping and construction activities.
• Performs general job site cleanup and other cleaning tasks when required.
• Maintains all operating equipment in good working condition.
• Performs related work as requested.
