Position Summary:

We are seeking a Laborer at our Lakeland, Florida facility. The Laborer position plays an important role in supporting our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for cleaning both interior and exterior grounds, performs nondestructive testing, transports materials, and helps production areas as required. We need an exceptionally well-organized teammate who can effectively multi-task and prioritize while taking the initiative to support the team effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Operates forklift and overhead crane to move materials to and from production operations or storage areas
• Uses grinder, chipping hammer, wire brush, etc., to clean weld, remove burrs and flux, etc. Prepares materials for painting
• Weighs identifies and segregates scrap, maintains required records. Uses cutting torch to cut scrap pieces to size, as necessary
• Assists in all production operations when requested or assigned
• Operates beveling machine and punches, when directed
• Wears protective clothing and respirators (Air filters) when necessary and directed by Group Leader/Supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to use a forklift, overhead cranes, chipper, wire brush, power tools
• Well-organized and be able to adapt and effectively multi-task, prioritize
• Must take the initiative and be able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the team
